One of a Kind Artisan Earrings

These statement drop earrings are a study in contrast, each pair features two distinct Golden Hills turquoise stones set in handcrafted Argentium silver bezels with a twisted rope detail. The upper oval stone is kiln cast glass created by me, and showcases a striking white matrix with vivid blue-turquoise inclusions, while the lower teardrop stone glows in a soft, solid sky blue with subtle natural veining.

No two stones are alike, making this pair truly one of a kind. The kiln-cast gems in silver setting adds depth and texture, and the earrings are finished with heavy-weight large ear nuts for secure, comfortable wear.

About Golden Hills Turquoise

Golden Hills turquoise is one of the most coveted turquoise varieties in the world, sourced from a remote mine in Kazakhstan. Prized for its exceptionally pure, sky-blue color and minimal matrix, it is celebrated among collectors and jewelers for its clarity and luminous tone. The stone's soft hue ranges from pale powder blue to a rich robin's egg. Each cabochon a small piece of geological rarity. Because the mine produces limited quantities, Golden Hills turquoise is increasingly difficult to source, making pieces set with it genuinely collectible. Wearing it is wearing something the earth made once and will never make again quite the same way.

The Kiln Cast Process

Kiln casting is an ancient glassmaking technique brought into the metalsmith's studio. Crushed or powdered glass is carefully packed into a heat-resistant mold, then slowly fired in a kiln at high temperatures — typically between 1,400°F and 1,500°F. As the glass melts, it flows into every detail of the mold, capturing organic texture and depth that cannot be replicated by hand. Once cooled through a controlled annealing process, the resulting glass gem is ground, shaped, and polished before being set in silver. Each kiln-cast piece is completely unique and the movement of molten glass ensures no two are ever identical.

Care information

Caring for Your Handcrafted Jewelry

Your handcrafted jewelry features premium gemstones and hand-forged metal components. With proper care, your pieces will maintain their beauty and integrity for years to come.

Daily Wear: Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or engaging in activities that may expose it to moisture, chemicals, or impact. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, cosmetics, and cleaning products, as these can dull gemstones and metal finishes.

Cleaning: Gently clean your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth. For deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water with mild soap and a soft-bristled brush, then pat dry immediately. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or steam cleaning, as these may damage delicate gemstones or hand-forged components.

Storage: Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep pieces in a soft pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratching and tangling. Store different pieces separately to avoid damage from friction.

Gemstone Care: Gemstones vary in durability and sensitivity. Protect all stones from extreme temperature changes and prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight, which may affect their color and clarity. Handle with care to avoid chips or cracks.

Metal Care: Hand-forged metals develop a natural patina over time, which adds character and authenticity to each piece. If you prefer to maintain shine, use a soft polishing cloth designed for jewelry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that may damage the metal.
