Imagine slipping these on before a night out and watching the light play through the violet-blue glass as it dances above the deep purple Charoite below. They're the kind of earrings that start conversations.
About the Kiln Cast Glass
Each glass component begins as raw glass in the form of powder, crushed glass and nuggets that I carefully arrange and load into a kiln mold in my home studio. During a multi-stage firing process, the kiln slowly heats to over 1400°F, allowing the glass to soften and flow into every detail of the mold. The kiln then cools over many hours... sometimes overnight in a controlled process called annealing, which relieves internal stress and gives the glass its lasting strength and clarity. Once cool, each piece is removed, inspected, and cold-worked by hand as required. No two pieces ever come out exactly the same, making every pair of earrings truly one of a kind.
These earrings are entirely handmade by me, Suzyn, in my home studio from the first kiln firing to the final bezel setting.

Cleaning: Gently clean your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth. For deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water with mild soap and a soft-bristled brush, then pat dry immediately. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or steam cleaning, as these may damage delicate gemstones or hand-forged components.
Storage: Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep pieces in a soft pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratching and tangling. Store different pieces separately to avoid damage from friction.
Gemstone Care: Gemstones vary in durability and sensitivity. Protect all stones from extreme temperature changes and prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight, which may affect their color and clarity. Handle with care to avoid chips or cracks.
Metal Care: Hand-forged metals develop a natural patina over time, which adds character and authenticity to each piece. If you prefer to maintain shine, use a soft polishing cloth designed for jewelry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that may damage the metal.
